MAGCOR Reentry Division is Hiring for Case Manager - Community Reentry

Position Summary:

The Case Manager – Community Reentry is responsible for providing direct support to adults in custody (AICs) returning home from federal incarceration. This position works in the community, connecting individuals with training, employment opportunities, transitional housing, transportation, and other supportive services. The ideal candidate is deeply committed to restorative justice, able to build trust across diverse populations, and highly organized in managing a caseload of clients at various stages of reentry.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Support and Case Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a caseload of returning citizens in the community.

  • Develop individualized reentry plans in collaboration with clients, including goals around employment, housing, health, and personal development.

  • Provide hands-on support navigating public benefits, obtaining IDs, securing housing, and meeting parole/probation conditions.

  • Refer and connect clients to job training programs, employers, mental health services, substance use recovery programs, childcare, and other resources.

  • Conduct regular follow-ups with clients to ensure progress and adapt plans as needed.

Community Coordination:

  • Build and maintain relationships with local service providers, landlords, workforce agencies, employers, and community-based organizations.

  • Work collaboratively with correctional facilities, parole officers, and reentry partners to ensure smooth transitions from custody to community.

  • Advocate for clients in accessing services and overcoming barriers to reentry.

Data & Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and timely case notes, service logs, and outcome tracking in the client database.

  • Track and report on client progress, challenges, and service delivery outcomes to the Director of Programs.

  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and training sessions.

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Criminal Justice, Psychology, or a related field preferred — OR equivalent combination of relevant work experience and training.

·       2–5 years of experience working in reentry services, case management, workforce development, substance use recovery, or other direct service roles supporting justice-impacted individuals.

·       Lived experience with the criminal justice system and/or prior experience supporting individuals returning from incarceration is highly valued.

·       Familiarity with reentry challenges including housing instability, employment barriers, and access to services.

·       Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage a diverse caseload.

·       Ability to travel within assigned region and occasionally visit correctional facilities (must pass security clearance).

·       Comfort working independently in the field while maintaining strong communication with the broader team.
