About Faye
What do you do at MPIC?
I help build self-esteem, build character, motivate and teach others how to achieve their goals. I also teach the importance of having integrity as well as taking ownership in daily life.
What are your credentials/education/experience for working in your position?
I have been sewing since I was nine years of age. I also majored in clothing management and worked in a sewing factory for five years. I worked in a managerial role for 10+ years.
What is something people in your industry must deal with that you want to fix?
The fear of not knowing how to do something or the fear of failure. Also, not believing that they make a difference. And having confidence in themselves.
What do you like about working at MPIC?
It allows me to help others achieve goals and believe in themselves. Also, it helps me to build more character.
What’s your background?
I grew up in Jackson, MS where my entire family made an impact on my life. My neighborhood was filled with parents, friends, and family that were close-knit, who took care of each other.
Favorite Quote:
I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13. The greatest mistake you can make in life is continually fearing that you’ll make one.
What are the values that drive you?
Leadership, being mindful of others. Because what you complain about there are always people who are in worse shape. My father always taught us to use our own brains and not let anyone else use it for us. A man’s word is his bond, and when you fail (because you will) try again and don’t ever give up. Be respectful. Always do good to others, because two wrongs don’t make a right, because the Lord will punish you.

My favorite book is by John C. Maxwell (The 17 Indisputable Laws of Teamwork)

I enjoy playing tennis, watching sports on TV, cooking, and watching a good movie.
